Copies of S.W. Richards' diaries, kept from 1846 until 1887. Include entries on his life in Illinois, including his work on the Nauvoo Temple, and a mission to Pennsylvania and New York in 1846. The majority of the diaries focus on Richards' life in Salt Lake City, with an emphasis on family and community news (including references to his brother Franklin D. Richards) and his daily work and activities. Also includes a variety of accounting notes.
